a bit about me:

Born and raised in Littleton, Colorado--I caught the travel bug in high school which has led me to where I am today. A true adventurer at heart, I decided to move away from everyone and everything I knew and loved to study International Business at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. There I learned that family is not always people who are related by blood and that with the right prioritization, you really can attend school full-time, work full-time, and maintain a full-time social life. I was required to study abroad in order to earn my Bachelor’s degree, so to Sevilla, Spain I went! My time was spent living with a host family, studying Spanish, and traveling with friends. Making the most of every opportunity available, I was able to travel to Morocco and backpack around Europe after completing my studies.

After graduation, I traveled to South Korea where I, again, left everything familiar to me to live and work for a year teaching English to Korean students. Working in a foreign country with a character-based language was such an incredible challenge, but staying true to my personality, I quickly jumped into my new life and spent my time hiking, practicing hapkido, and making new ex-pat friends from all over the world.

I've spent the last 12 years in an international organization working with High School exchange students choosing to study in the United States or leaving the United States to become an exchange student abroad. As a current resident of Aurora, Colorado I gravitate towards fields of work that help people; whether it be teaching after-school programs, making students' dreams come true by facilitating their exchange year, or motivating people to reach their fitness goals as a Jazzercise fitness instructor. In my free time, I love to travel, work on home improvements and interior design, read, paddleboard, exercise, and spend time with my husband and two wonderful kids!
